International Charity Golf Tournament
Every year on the eve of the International Children’s day, Moscow Country Club hosts a traditional International Charity Golf Tournament.
Since 1996, the event has been not only a prestigious sporting event, but also an effective tool to raise charity to help children suffering from serious diseases. For more than two decades, the Tournament has brought together hundreds of concerned people and allowed them to collect and direct more than 80 million roubles to provide tailored assistance to children. Recipients of charitable funds are boarding schools, children’s hospitals, and charitable foundations.
The tournament is very popular among the business and political elite, in diplomatic circles, as well as among all athletes and golfers. Over the long history of the Tournament, diplomats from different countries have played on the Moscow Country Club golf course. Well-known theater and film actors representing charitable foundations and heads of children’s institutions take an active part in the events within the Tournament.
