Resultst of the tournament «The Autumn Open Championship in Baku 2016»

DEAR MEMBERS! From 21 to 26 October was held «The Autumn Open Championship» in Baku. A warm weather greeted the participants of the tournament by a strong wind and low temperature +8….10(certainly by the standards of Baku) In the city the wind felt is not strong enough, but for the golfers who are not accustomed to such conditions on golf courses around Moscow it was a serious test. Must say that Baku is translated as the Windy City, but it refers only to the winter time. The tournament was held in the Dreamland Golf Club. Despite the young age the golf course is in perfect condition, this refers to all major areas – tee, fairways and greens. After the first round among men in the stableford category the leading position takes Valery Shatrov. Unfortunately, due to the hand injury he withdrew from the second round. Among ladies ,the leading position takes Kolobashkin Elena. According to the results of the tournament the winner was a Dmitry Podozersky, 2 place went to Aleksandr Usachev and 3rd place Vladimir Protopopov, first place among ladies took Kolobashkin Elena, Irina Vashchenko 2nd place and 3rd place Podozerskaya Natalia.
