Moscow Country Club Celebrates its 30th Anniversary

On the 2nd of September, Moscow Country Club celebrates 30 years since the day of its creation. The club has become a notable place for golf lovers — this is where Russia's first professional 18-hole golf course was opened.

The club was constructed following an exclusive design developed by Trent Joneses, the famous American dynasty of architects. Robert Trent Jones Jr., who finalized the project, managed to harmoniously bring together the picturesque landscape of the Moscow Region with the requirements of international standards, which made it possible to organize high-profile competitions.

In 1993, the long-awaited 9-hole course welcomed the first players at the Russian Open tournament in Nakhabino. The history of Moscow Country Golf Club dates back to this very moment.

Only a year later, all 18 holes were completed, and the course was fully compliant with the standards for high-profile professional competitions.
In 1996, the first Charity Golf Tournament was held at Moscow Country Club to mark the International Children's Day. Since then, it has become a tradition, and the event is held annually. Today, this tournament is not only a prestigious competition but also an effective tool for charity. Golf enthusiasts, foreign diplomats, Russian politicians and businesspeople each year step out onto the Moscow Country Club’s golf course to raise funds to help children suffering from serious diseases. Over its 25-year history, the event was responsible for bringing more than 100 million rubles in donations to charitable foundations, boarding schools and other institutions.

In 2015 and 2017, the jury of the international competition World Golf Award named the club the best golf hotel in Russia.
In August 2018, Moscow Country Club hosted Russia's only international professional golf tournament — a stage of the VTB Russian Open Golf Championship (Senior) European Tour with a prize fund of 500,000 US dollars.

Today, Moscow Country Club offers a broad range of opportunities for golf lovers of all ages and levels of skill. Picturesque protected territory, hospitable staff, top-class service and perfect quality of the golf course will surely impress even the most experienced players.

More than 50 competitions are held here each year, and the club's team welcomes not only experienced golfers but also beginners. Experienced PGA professionals — Alexey Ezhikov and Denis Kurian — offer group and individual training sessions. Classes include practical and tactical training, making the training sessions as effective as possible. Classes are also available for children — the training process is tailored to the individual characteristics of young athletes and includes theory, practice and competitions.
